Tomorrow our new friends leave the sides of their grownups to discover a new little world beyond their front doors. Our older friends have been waiting with excitement to explore their "new school" as they grow one year older.
Here they will learn to keep their bodies healthy and clean. They will revel in the muck that is dirt, glue, paint and glitter. Some will jump at the chance to wash it off their tiny little fingers, others will squirm far from our site only to indulge in the fun of messiness.
We sit here patiently knowing we are needed to clean cuts and scrapes and find comfort in knowing a character designed bandage will diminish the tears and magically help the boo boos disappear.
We will witness the smiles when they can do it all by themselves, and with new found pride will remind their grownups to wash their own hands.
We sit here waiting, eagerly, patiently, anxiously for our new family.
